ABOUT CLASSICAL PILATES
I opened my 1st, brick-&-mortar, Classical Pilates Studio, in Old Town Lewisville, in the Spring of 2019, which I had to close during the lockdown a year later.
I have since opened a private, fully-equipped, studio space at my residence in Lewisville where I have been happily teaching since 2020.
I have been teaching Classical Pilates since 2015. The name, Pilates in the City, came about while living in New York City - It’s a play on, “Sex in the City.”
Since then, I have since been continuing my training through the Romana’s Pilates certification in Dallas.
I was introduced to Pilates when I was a hairstylist in my 20s. Being constantly on my feet, I began suffering back spasms & pain in my legs. The relief I felt after a few sessions was instantaneous as was my love for Pilates. It was later in my 30s, that I was rethinking my path & purpose in life, when I decided to pass on what Pilates has given me & decided to turn my passion to teaching.
Pilates has given me a confidence I never had, an indispensable discipline & purpose to my life.
It has also helped, like me, work with others who have hip, shoulder & back injuries live a fuller life free of those constraints. I was a gymnast & swimmer growing up & still swim in conjunction to Pilates to keep myself pain free & in shape.
